Veda Saptaha Yagnam at Thiruvananthapuram

With the Blessings of Their Holinesses Pujyasri Shankaracharya Swamijis of Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, Veda Saptaha Yagnam will be performed from Sunday - 10 June 2012 to Saturday, 16th June 2012 at Sri Sankara Paduka Mandapam, Karamanai, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The Saptaham will be performed by Mahamahopadhyaya Brahmashri Mullaivasal Krishnamurthy Sastrigal, Former Principal, Sanskrit College, Chennai. The Saptaha Yagnam will be held from 8 to 10 am and 3.30 to 8 pm and will consist of Chaturveda Parayanam, Vidwat Sadas an Vedic discourses. Eminent Scholars from all over South India will participate. The discourses will highlight the research work of great seers which are relevant to this day with significant scientific details which are embedded in the Vedas.
Daily Programme
* 8 - 10 am: Veda Parayanam
* 3.30 - 5.30 pm: Anyonyam/ Vidwat Sadas
* 6 - 8 pm: Upanyasam
Similar Saptahas were held in Kanchipuram, Mylapore, Nanganallur, Velachery and Bangalore.
